Valentine's Day is a special occasion to show friends
and family how
much we love them. The ancient legend says that
a Roman emperor decreed that all Christians should die.
Valentinus was a man who loved Christ and continued
worshiping Him. Because of his beliefs, Valentinus
was put in prison. In jail, Valentinus, became
a teacher to the jailer's daughter, who was blind. Valentinus
taught Julia about everything, including God. They
prayed together that God would heal Julia from her blindness.
Suddenly, Julia could see. On the night
before Valentinus died, he wrote a short note to Julia.
The note told her to stay close to God and it
was signed, "From Your Valentine." The
next day, on February 14, Valentinus was killed.
On this
February 14 remember your loved ones with kindness
and love.
Wonderful ways to do this is to tell the ones that
you love how you feel.
Many people celebrate Valentine's Day by making and
giving Valentine's
Cards and letters or even picking the perfect bouquet
of flowers. One of the ways I like to celebrate
Valentine's Day is by giving gifts made especially
