NEVER FORGET A 1-Year Rememberance with Twin Towers CAKES
Created & Decorated by Ms. Angie Rombeck-Smith

As the anniversary of a horrific day in history approaches, here are two patriotic ideas for your September 11th event. These were designed by Ms. Angie Rombeck-Smith, owner of Creations in Mt. Moriah, MO.
This cake she named Never Forget is a replica of the New York City World Trade Center Twin Towers. The towers are made of little square white cakes made by baking sheet cakes and cutting them using a four inch square cutter. These squares were then stacked on top of each other until reaching the desired height. Each tower has a long wooden dowel driven through it, through the sheet cakes, and into the cake board for stability. The towers were iced in butter cream and smoothed. Then, Ms. Rombeck-Smith used a straight edge ruler to imprint the lines on the tower that run up and down the length of the towers. She mixed grain alcohol and 2 grams of silver luster dust and airbrushed the towers silver. The images on the towers were printed on edible frosting sheets using edible inks. The towers sit upon a sheet cake iced in butter cream and painted blue. The white stars on the sheet cake are created from gum paste.
